This test simultaneously loads two identical pieces of content from the web server into the UNCOMPRESSED and COMPRESSED areas of the page above. The page uses JavaScript code to time how long the download takes, at the foot of each window the time is displayed once the download has completed.

For the speedtest to work correctly you need to ensure that the uncompressed and compressed data is downloaded from the web server and not your browser's local disk cache. If the data is loaded from your browser's cache you will *NOT* get accurate test results. We recommend performing the test in Internet Explorer since it is the only browser that will reliably download the uncompressed and compressed content when refreshing the page with Ctrl-F5 (Firefox and Opera will not bypass the cache for the iframe data).
